UF CWC considers applicants from APA or CPA accredited doctoral programs in counseling or clinical psychology working towards a Ph.D, Psy.D, or Ed.D. degree. Applicants must be in good standing with their academic program/department. They must have a minimum of three years of graduate training and have completed all doctoral coursework prior to the beginning of internship. Applicants must have successfully defended their comprehensive examinations by the time of application to internship and be certified as ready for internship by their doctoral programs. Preference is given to applicants who have experience working in university counseling centers and/or with the college student population. We encourage students from a wide range of identities and backgrounds to apply. U.S citizenship is not required, and we welcome international student applicants. Applicants are expected to value individual and cultural diversity, multicultural development, and the exploration of biases related to marginalized and privileged groups. Applicants are expected to have an affirming stance toward all sexual/affectional orientations and gender identities. Applicants are expected to engage in efforts to deepen diversity awareness, sensitivity, and competence related to diversity in every form.
