Internship Program Admissions

Briefly describe in narrative form important information to assist potential applicants in assessing their likely fit with your program. This description must be consistent with the program’s policies on intern selection and practicum and academic preparation requirements:

UF CWC considers applicants from APA or CPA accredited doctoral programs in counseling or clinical psychology working towards a Ph.D, Psy.D, or Ed.D. degree. Applicants must be in good standing with their academic program/department. They must have a minimum of three years of graduate training and have completed all doctoral coursework prior to the beginning of internship. Applicants must have successfully defended their comprehensive examinations by the time of application to internship and be certified as ready for internship by their doctoral programs. Preference is given to applicants who have experience working in university counseling centers and/or with the college student population. We encourage students from a wide range of identities and backgrounds to apply. U.S citizenship is not required, and we welcome international student applicants. Applicants are expected to explore their biases and work on increasing their competency in individual and cultural diversity. Applicants are expected to be able to work with a diverse client and student population.
