Her professional interest includes working with the LGBTQA+ community, relationship, and identity concerns and focusing on the general well-being.

Approach to Therapy

Dr. McCann’s approach to therapy is integrative and incorporates several assorted styles including interpersonal, client centered, emotion focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporates skill-based interventions. Dr. McCann’s hope is that after attending therapy clients will have a better understanding of themselves, how to navigate their world and how to cope better with stressors.

Approach to Supervision

Dr. McCann’s approach to supervision is developmental based and centers on meeting supervisee’s where they are. Dr. McCann works to create a collaborative support environment to help the client further develop their clinical skills.

Approach to Wellness

Dr. McCann believes overall well-being is key for wellness. Dr. McCann further believes that finding your version of well-being or “balance” is key to helping you better craft the life you want to live.
