Training in Psychological Assessment
Helping students while training future psychologists
Struggling to focus, manage your time, or keep up with class demands? Wondering if something deeper—like ADHD or a learning difference—could be impacting you? The CWC Testing Clinic offers high-quality, no-cost psychological assessments to help clarify what’s going on, while training future psychologists in evidence-based testing practices.
What Is the Testing Clinic?
The Testing Clinic is part of the doctoral training program in Counseling Psychology. Advanced doctoral students conduct comprehensive assessments under the close supervision of licensed psychologists. Services are available to UF students and are covered by the Student Health Fee.
Because this is a training clinic, appointments are limited each semester and may take several weeks to complete.
Scope of Services
We provide psychological assessments that support:
- ADHD diagnosis
- Learning challenges (e.g., math disorders)
- Emotional or behavioral concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression)
- Documentation for academic accommodations through the UF Disability Resource Center (DRC)
Please note:
We do not provide medication management, forensic/legal evaluations (e.g., ESA letters), or crisis assessments.
What to Expect: The 3-Step Process
Step 1: Screening & Evaluation (3 hours)
A structured interview and computerized assessments.
Step 2: Testing Session (3 hours)
A series of in-person tasks while being observed.
Step 3: Feedback Session (1 hour)
The trainee will review the findings with you, discuss next steps, and provide a summary report.
Testing is spaced across 3–6 weeks depending on scheduling and trainee availability.
How to Get Started
Step-by-Step Checklist:
1. Call (352) 392-1575 for a consultation
2. Ask about a referral to the Testing Clinic

Already Have an ADHD Diagnosis?
Please bring any previous testing reports or treatment summaries to your appointment. While helpful, outside evaluations are not used alone to confirm a diagnosis—we conduct our own standardized assessment to ensure consistency and accuracy.
After Your Evaluation If a diagnosis is confirmed, your report may support:
- Academic accommodations via the DRC.
- Referrals for therapy, medication management, or academic support.
- Clarifying next steps if symptoms are due to anxiety, trauma, or other issues.
Note: The Testing Clinic does not prescribe medication but can offer referrals.
