We’re Hiring an Embedded Counselor Position at UF’s Institute of Black Culture

The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) seeks an experienced and innovative licensed mental health professional for an embedded position providing psychological services to primarily Black college students while embedded in the Multicultural and Diversity Affairs (MCDA) Department. This position is a Clinical Assistant Professor position with the CWC serving students in The Institute of Black Culture within MCDA.

Our primary search criteria is for generalists with a strong interest in working with Black college students. Candidates should have experience working with a wide range of client problems and levels of severity especially related to Black student experiences, systemic anti-Black racism, and oppression more generally. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: 1) Black psychology 2) Social justice and liberation; and/or 3) Black Queer Psychology.
