Approach to Therapy
Stephanie believes that sometimes, we need more than just the comforting “Sana Sana Colita de Rana” remedy. While those words carry love and tradition, healing often requires a deeper dive. Therapy, to her, isn’t just about diagnosing problems or focusing on symptoms, it’s about having a safe, supportive space to explore who you are, navigating life’s challenges, and moving toward personal growth and healing.
Her clinical work is rooted in Interpersonal Process Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Relational-Cultural principles. In working with Stephanie, you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where you’ll explore meaningful areas of life such as relationships, emotions, behaviors, past and present experiences, and your sense of self.
Therapy can sometimes bring up hard emotions or memories, but Stephanie is committed to walking alongside you with compassion, care, and honesty. Her hope is to offer a space where you feel truly seen, deeply supported, and emotionally safe no matter where you are on your journey, whether you’re healing, growing, or simply trying to make sense of your story.
Approach to Supervision
Stephanie’s supervisory approach is grounded in collaboration, support, and developmental responsiveness. She meets each supervisee where they are in their professional journey, working alongside them to establish and pursue meaningful clinical and personal goals. Her role is to create a safe and growth-oriented space that fosters learning through open dialogue, direct feedback, and consistent support. Supervision with Stephanie aims to promote both clinical competence and personal growth, with a particular emphasis on identity development as an integral part of professional formation.
Approach to Wellness
Stephanie sees wellness as a holistic balance between our emotional, physical, relational, and mental well-being. She understands that sometimes we need to focus more on one area than another...and that’s completely okay Whether it’s moving your body, processing emotions, or making time for connection, Stephanie believes in giving yourself permission to do what feels right. At the heart of her approach is the belief that discovering what brings us joy and honoring what we need in the moment are essential to a well-nourished, fulfilling life.
Other Activities
When she’s not working, Stephanie loves watching movies and college football, or getting lost in a good puzzle. She values time with her loved ones and loves taking her two dogs, Russell and Winston, on long, peaceful walks.
