Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is to provide a space for all that you carry to be witnessed, validated, and explored.
I am no stranger to therapy and know what it feels like to sit on the other side of the room. I value giving you a sense of autonomy. I collaborate with you and operate from a place of relationship- which I believe can be the most healing tool. I hope to be a witness to your emotions and stories, to remind you that you do not have to journey through this alone. It can feel overwhelming to embark on the search and discovery of your most authentic self while navigating this world we are living in. To learn what works and what you’d like to change. To find the language to communicate who you are to yourself and others. It can help to have someone accompany you as you learn and remember who you are/ want to become.

I have worked in a variety of settings and have been honored to journey with a multitude of individuals towards their healing and most authentic selves as we all embrace the beautiful and painful complexities of being human.

Approach to Wellness

I believe being a human can be hard. There are many emotions that come from simply existing. My approach to wellness is holistic and curiosity based. I’ve learned that shaming myself into better health has not been effective. How one achieves wellness can shift and take different forms throughout one’s life or different seasons and circumstances. I also know the pain and damage that needing to perform wellness when one is not actually well can do. Checking in with yourself, sometimes daily, on what wellness looks for you that day can be a form of self-care.

Other Activities

I enjoy taking walks, reading, spending time with my loved ones, listening to music, analog activities such as word search puzzles, and being a cat mom to David.
