Approach to Therapy
Brittany’s approach to therapy is integrative and incorporates a number of insight-oriented, multicultural, and skills-based interventions based on the client’s needs. Brittany’s hope is that after engaging in therapy, students will have a better understanding of the intrapsychic, interpersonal and socio-cultural factors that impede their wellbeing, and will feel more empowered to use their strengths and communities to find healing.
Approach to Supervision
Brittany’s approach to supervision is developmental, collaborative and trainee centered. Brittany believes that mutual trust, open communication, and honest feedback allow supervision meetings to best serve the needs of supervisees and their clients. Her goal as a supervisor is to guide supervisees in not only developing themselves as confident clinicians, but also in their own authentic identity development as it is informed by their clinical work.
Approach to Wellness
Brittany believes that wellness is a daily practice that one does not simply “achieve.” She believes that continual attention to the needs of the mind, body, and soul through interconnectedness, relaxation, work, play, joy, and fun is the pathway toward practicing holistic wellness.
Other Activities
In her free time, Brittany enjoys cooking, watching movies, and spending time with her loved ones.
