The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking a generalist at any point in their professional development with a strong interest in working with domestic and international students in a university counseling center. The clinical associate/assistant professor’s primary responsibility is to provide direct clinical services, including group, individual and couples counseling to University of Florida students. Potential colleagues should have experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns and levels of severity. Clinical faculty members also provide consultation to UF faculty and staff and are engaged in providing professional training and teaching to graduate students, doctoral interns, and post-doctoral fellows. Similarly, all faculty take part in outreach, intervention and prevention eff orts. Faculty also are expected to participate in the center’s model of shared governance through the coordination of specifi c initiatives, membership or chairing of committees or task forces.
The successful candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas related to collegiate mental health: assessment/psychological testing, neurodivergence, alcohol & other drug use, trauma, disordered eating concerns, attention-defi cit/hyperactivity disorders, and/or psychotherapy and outreach with students from a range of identities/cultural backgrounds.
