Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Embedded Clinical Case Manager

Education
- Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University.
Professional Interests
Liz’s work focuses on how people process trauma—especially in military families and among veteran students. She’s also interested in the life stage of emerging adulthood, the clinical nuances of obsessive‑compulsive disorder, and practical crisis‑management. Across all these areas, she seeks to uncover and address developmental challenges that arise at any point in a person’s life.
Approach to Therapy
Liz integrates evidence‑based modalities—including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Solution‑Focused brief interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive‑Behavioral Therapy—to meet each client’s unique needs. Within this framework, she cultivates a creative, collaborative counseling environment that empowers clients to chart their own individualized course toward healing and resilience.
Approach to Supervision
Liz’s approach to supervision is grounded in leading by example. By prioritizing and supporting each supervisee, she helps them achieve greater success. She also advocates a trial‑and‑error learning philosophy, viewing both mistakes and wins as valuable opportunities to grow.
Other Activities
Liz balances her professional responsibilities with time spent at home with her family and her two Golden Retrievers, Sam and Lucy. In her spare time, she enjoys snorkeling and kayaking, as well as keeping a personal list of restaurants she’d like to try as a dedicated foodie. Her personal wellness routine focuses on short mindfulness drills, brief reflective journaling, spirituality, and daily gratitude practice.
