Professional Interests
Yeonwoo’s professional interests include working with adult and college student populations who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, navigating transitions to another culture or developmental stages, and exploring dynamics in relationships.
Approach to Therapy
Yeonwoo values a collaborative, supportive, and strengths-based counseling process that provides a safe, open, and empathetic space where clients can feel heard and empowered.
Her approach integrates with humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness.
Approach to Supervision
Her approach to supervision focuses on developmental and trainee-centered practices, where trainees meet their needs and identify professional growth opportunities. Her perspective on supervision is providing an environment where trainees feel safe, supported, and is collaborative.
Approach to Wellness
Her approach to wellness focuses on a sense of grounding and the connection between physical and mental well-being. In the middle of busy schedules, we may not have the opportunity to pause and focus on ourselves. She believes that giving yourself a space to explore what matters right now is part of self-care.
Other Activities
Yeonwoo enjoys exploring new places, such as restaurants, cafes or walking trails. She also enjoys watching movies.
