Professional Interests
Madeline is deeply committed to working with individuals and couples, supporting clients as they navigate identity development, relational dynamics, and emotional challenges. She is particularly interested in helping students manage symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as fostering healthy, connected relationships, whether they be between romantic partners, family members or peers. In all facets of her work, Madeline prioritizes cultural humility, inclusion, and collaboration. She aims to create a supportive and respectful environment where clients feel seen, validated, and encouraged toward meaningful growth.
Approach to Therapy
Madeline’s approach to therapy is collaborative, seeks to be culturally humble, and is grounded in evidence-based practice. She primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help her clients build insight into the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also developing flexibility in how they relate to their internal experiences. Madeline values integrating tools that promote both practical skill-building and values-based living.
Madeline believes that therapy should be responsive to each client’s unique identities, experiences, and goals. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. She works to co-create a space where clients feel safe to explore, challenge themselves, and grow. Whether working with individuals, couples, or in a group setting, Madeline aims to prioritize warmth, authenticity, and respect- meeting clients where they are while supporting movement towards meaningful change.
Approach to Supervision
In her approach to supervision, Madeline is rooted in a developmental framework, meeting supervisees where they are and tailoring her approach to support their evolving needs, strengths, and growth areas across the training journey. She views supervision as both an environment for clinical skill-building as well as professional identity development. It is a priority for Madeline to engender a supervisory relationship grounded in trust, authenticity, and mutual respect.
Approach to Wellness
To Madeline, wellness is about feeling grounded, connected, and aligned with what matters most, even when life gets messy. She aims to practice what she encourages in others: setting boundaries that protect her energy, making space for joy and rest, and being gentle on herself on the hard days. Madeline believes that wellness is not about always getting it right, but rather it’s about showing up, checking in with yourself, and responding with care and intention.
Madeline is a big believer in the healing power of relationships, nature, movement, and creativity. Whether it’s spending time with loved ones, walking her dog, Hudson, or cooking her favorite meals, Madeline emphasizes that small, intentional rituals can have a large impact.
Other Activities
Outside of her professional work, Madeline enjoys spending time outdoors. She is an avid fisherman and loves to spend her time on the water. Additionally, Madeline enjoys going to the beach and hiking with her dog, Hudson.
