I grew up in Delaware, Ohio, which is a small farm town just north of Columbus. In 2002 I received a BS in Biology and worked in cancer research. I then transitioned to the clinical environment as a hospital based EMT at the Scripps Mercy Hospital Emergency Department in San Diego, California. I then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where I lived and worked for six years. In 2011, my wife and I moved to Gainesville to be closer to the beach and my wife’s family. I began working for Shands Hospital shortly after moving here and held many positions including a nurse in the cardiac ICU, a psychiatric nurse in the medsurg/psych unit (unit 52) in the north tower of Shands, and psychiatric nurse at Shands Vista Psychiatric Hospital. I currently live in Gainesville with my wife and 3 children and enjoy motorsports, kayaking, and mountain biking.
