Power is the capacity of an individual to influence the behavior of others. Social/institutional power refers to access to social, cultural, and economic resources and decision making.

Privilege is when a social group has something of value that they have not necessarily earned. It represents a special right or advantage available to a particular person or group based on membership or assumed membership in a dominant group.
