Adulting With Ebony

Workshop Series, Fall 2021

Just as there’s no book that fully prepares one to be a parent, there is most definitely is not one that prepares you for this journey of adulting. Come to this drop in space to process the things that no one talks to you about but expects from you as an “adult”. Laugh, cry, and walk away with skills that help you know its all going to be okay, and to remember to just take this “adulting” thing one step/day at a time.

Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30pm

This series will include 4 sessions, feel free to drop by all or one that feels particularly salient for you in your adulting journey.

Session 1: “A-Donting”, discussing feelings associated with this journey, tapping into more self compassion and management skills to help approach the journey in another light
Session 2: Managing responsibilities, processing what it means to be adulting
Session 3: Adulting and Friendships, how does this work #help
Session 4: Leaving the nest, Returning to the nest- navigating relationships with parents/caregivers along the journey

Facilitator: Dr. Ebony Okafor
