Associate Director SHCC Psychiatry
Dr. Marcia Morris is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry and Associate Program Direction for SHCC Psychiatry. Dr. Morris has worked as psychiatrist at the University of Florida Counseling and Wellness Center providing clinical care to college students for the last twenty years. Her areas of specialty include depression, anxiety and eating disorders.
Dr. Morris received an undergraduate degree from Harvard University in English and American Literature and a medical degree from Yale University. She completed her psychiatry residency at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center. She is a Board Certified psychiatrist and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Across the nation, Dr. Morris has presented at the American Psychiatric Association, American College Health Association, and American College Counseling Association. Dr. Morris has published research papers in the area of OCD and has also written articles on various topics related to college mental health. Her book The Campus Cure: A Parent’s Guide to Mental Health and Wellness for College Students was published in 2018.
