Clinical Assistant Professor
PhD Clinical Psychology
My interests are varied and include working with college students, prevention of and reduction of intimate partner violence, LGBTQ+ related topics, individuals with disabilities, first generation college students, and issues relating to social class and SES. I am also passionate about psychological assessment.
Approach to Therapy
Fostering a strong relationship is the foundation of my therapeutic work, along with the belief that each person with whom I work is the expert of their own life. I meet people where they are and I believe that growth and change occurs within the context of a safe, authentic, and trusting environment.
Approach to Supervision
I focus on the needs of my supervisees and, depending on those needs, will shift between the roles of teacher, counselor, and consultant. Trust and genuineness in supervisory relationship is an integral part of becoming a skilled clinician.
Approach to Wellness
I like to read, spend time with my family and friends, go on bike rides, and play with my dog Felix.
I like to listen to podcasts, meet new people, and travel.
