Dr. Jasser received her BS in Psychology, MEd/EdS in Marriage and Family Counseling and her PhD in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida; she is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Dr. Jasser’s professional interests include women’s issues such as body image and eating concerns, identity development, relationship concerns, grief/loss, first-generation to college concerns and wellness.
Approach to Therapy
Dr. Jasser works from a relational-cultural feminist framework incorporating techniques from a variety of therapies including cognitive-behavioral, Gestalt, and family systems.
Approach to Supervision
Dr. Jasser utilizes a developmental approach to supervision. She likes to meet supervisees where they are and capitalize on strengths to move trainees toward growth both professionally and personally. This process often involves self-reflection, curiosity, and open dialogue.
Approach to Wellness
Dr. Jasser is very interested in ways to maintain balance in her life and believes that self-awareness is necessary to achieve wellness. She spends her free time connecting with friends and family, reading, reflecting, and cultivating gratitude for life’s blessings.
